Detailed Explanation of Upgrade Points

  • 1. Battery

The battery is a 72V 900Ah lithium battery. Lithium batteries are lighter in weight (a 72V 600Ah lead-acid battery weighs 1360kg, while a 72V 900Ah lithium battery weighs only 580kg), featuring higher power and longer service life.
The charging port is positioned at the rear right of the battery pack, and is equipped with an intelligent charger adopting a European standard interface (72V HF-8, 15 kW·h).
The battery is fitted with a BMS (Battery Management System), enabling users to conveniently check the battery status via a connected monitor or mobile APP.
In addition, unlike lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries do not require regular replenishment of distilled water to maintain normal operation, which saves time and labor.

2. Snow Box
The design of the snow box has been revamped while its volume remains unchanged. It has been converted into a forward-tilting snow box with an inclined interior, which eliminates the need for lifting when dumping snow, making it more suitable for garages with low ceilings.
Lighting tubes and a sprinkler system have been added inside the snow box to facilitate observation of internal conditions and flush away residual unmelted snow that is not fully discharged. A PVC sliding plate is fitted on the internal slope of the snow box for smoother snow dumping.
The exterior shape of the snow box has also been redesigned with a front-to-rear gradient—lower at the front and higher at the rear—delivering better visibility when the vehicle is in motion. The snow box is equipped with one observation port, one air intake, and one snow inlet. Riveting is adopted for the external connection of the snow box, reducing welding and creating a neater appearance.
The opening and closing mechanism of the snow box compartment cover is uniquely designed with a locking buckle device, paired with an independent electric push rod linkage to lock and unlock the cover. Hydraulic rods are additionally installed to support and lower the snow box cover.

3. Chassis
The chassis has been lowered, greatly improving the vehicle’s space utilization. The battery is installed in a **central position**, with extra space reserved for mounting other functional equipment. At the same time, the layout of the snow box, water tank and other components of the whole vehicle has been effectively adjusted. A roller bar design has been added to the battery area for easier battery installation and removal.
The wiring layout has been optimized, and maintenance procedures and methods have been simplified.
The main wiring routes are as follows:
Some wires of the control panel extend from the bottom of the steering wheel to the platform at the bottom of the left cab and connect to the hydraulic solenoid valves. Other wires of the control panel also extend from the bottom of the steering wheel to the platform on the right side of the cab.
The motor controller for the drive motor is located in front of the right cab, while the motor controller for the hydraulic motor and other junction boxes are placed at the bottom of the right cab. The dual hydraulic motors and oil tank are arranged in the middle area between the left and right cabs.
The overall arrangement of wiring and components is neater and more coordinated, making troubleshooting and maintenance much easier.

4. Vehicle Drive and Braking
Four-wheel drive, four-wheel disc brakes on front and rear axles, with parking brake.
One-key start for four-wheel drive.
Wheels: 16-inch black mag wheels
Tires: 235/70 R 16 RT winter tires with tungsten steel studs
Speed: Maximum 15 km/h (10 mph)
Two drive motors provide acceleration power for the vehicle, with a single drive motor rated at 72V 7.5kW. The throttle acceleration switch delivers instant response and strong power when pressed.
The braking system adopts four-wheel disc brakes equipped with aluminum hydraulic brake calipers, greatly improving braking performance. These brake calipers also feature excellent rust resistance.

5. Vehicle Body Materials
The exterior of the vehicle body is covered with a **fiberglass (FRP)** shell.
The vehicle body is constructed from **aluminum‑magnesium‑zinc alloy plus thickened steel plate**.
The snow box is made of **aluminum‑magnesium‑zinc alloy and thickened steel plate**.
The water tank is made of **stainless steel**.
The water pipes consist of **plastic and stainless steel**.
The cab is a composite structure of **glass, steel‑aluminum‑magnesium‑zinc alloy, and thickened steel plate**.
The trailer frame is made of **aluminum‑magnesium‑zinc alloy and thickened steel plate**.
The horizontal and vertical spiral augers are manufactured from **45# carbon steel**.
The watering drainage pipes are made of **stainless steel**.

6. Lights
The light assembly has been redesigned:
All lights are LED type.
Front lighting: 4 main lamps plus a light bar, consisting of four LED headlights and one light bar.
Rear lighting: six lamps in total, including two brake lights, two turn signals and two reverse lights.
Top lighting: one flashing warning light mounted on the vehicle roof.
The lighting effect has been greatly improved. Meanwhile, the multi-functional lights provide stronger warning functions, ensuring safe operation of the vehicle at all times during work.

7. Trailer Frame at the Rear of the Ice Resurfacer
The trailer shell is constructed from aluminum‑magnesium‑zinc alloy and thickened steel plate, equipped with a horizontal screw conveyor (horizontal auger) with a diameter of 261 mm and a dual‑screw snow conveying zone.
It features an electronically controlled switch for ice blade angle adjustment, a tungsten steel ice scraper, stainless steel water pipes, an electronically controlled drainage switch, a replaceable silicone scraper bar, a compression spring, and conveying water pipes.
**Special Design**:
The balance and lifting performance of the trailer frame have been optimized, and the connection between the trailer frame and the vehicle body has been redesigned.
The lifting mode of the trailer frame has been changed from the original horizontal lifting to **fan‑shaped lifting**, with the rear end lifting to a greater extent than the front end.
A limiting device is also installed to keep the trailer frame balanced at all times, so no further trailer balance adjustment is required after the vehicle leaves the factory.

8. Horizontal and Vertical Augers
Horizontal Screw Conveyor (Horizontal Auger)
Enclosed within the trailer frame, the screw conveyor is driven by a motor via large and small synchronous pulleys and dual automotive drive belts.
The synchronous pulleys and drive belts are mounted externally on the outside of the trailer frame. The connection between the belts and synchronous pulleys has been optimized with an added tensioner pulley, resulting in smoother power transmission and significantly improved stability.
In addition, the connection between the snow discharge outlet of the trailer frame auger and the snow inlet of the vertical auger has been optimized, greatly enhancing the efficiency of snow transfer into the snow box.
Vertical Screw Conveyor (Vertical Auger)
Enclosed in a steel tube with dual baffles for better snow compaction, the screw conveyor is driven by a motor via large and small synchronous pulleys and widened drive belts.
The connection between the belts and synchronous pulleys has also been optimized with an additional tensioner pulley, ensuring smoother power delivery and markedly improved stability.

9. Water Tank
The water tank has been redesigned while its volume remains unchanged. It is equipped with standard temperature sensors, water level sensors, and an exhaust fan has been added to the air outlet.
An additional water inlet pump is installed to improve the efficiency of filling water into the tank.
A separate feed water pump is also added, which supplies water to three locations for flushing:
- Location 1: The vertical auger, to facilitate cleaning of snow and dirt from the vertical auger;
- Location 2: The horizontal auger, to help remove snow and dirt from the horizontal auger in the trailer frame;
- Location 3: The drainage pipe inside the snow box, where water is sprayed into the snow box to clean away residual snow and dirt inside.

10. Driver’s Cab
The cab is more spacious, with user-friendly integrated buttons and a dual-seat design.
The cab is equipped with: an instrument panel, a foot brake pedal with parking brake function, an accelerator pedal, a digital display screen, and various integrated control buttons. It also includes two all-season driver seats (main and co-pilot) with armrests, suspension systems, and multiple adjustment functions.
